About Mark Emery

With over 30 years in education, including 27 years as a music educator and band director at Pueblo County High School, Mark Emery has dedicated his career to serving students. His passion for learning, communication, and community has carried into his role as a District 70 school board member.

 

Mark first ran for the board to support students and staff while advocating for the arts in education. His decades in the classroom gave him firsthand insight into the needs of both students and teachers, as well as the importance of keeping parents engaged in their child’s education. Mark believes strong communication builds the connections necessary for students to thrive and for schools to succeed.

 

A lifelong educator, Mark continues to bring that same dedication and perspective to his service on the school board, working to ensure D70 remains a place where every student has the resources and opportunities to achieve their best.
